Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly denies allegations that he is a victim of gang-rape, calling them “completely false.”

In the midst of a surge of allegations of sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry, actor Nivin Pauly is facing rape charges. A special inquiry team was formed by the Kerala government in response to the Justice K. Hema Committee report, which exposed systemic mistreatment of women in the sector.

A 40-year-old woman alleged on Tuesday that Nivin Pauly had sexually abused her during a rape that allegedly took place in a group in Dubai a year prior. In compliance with Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, the Onnukal police station in the Keralan district of Ernakulam filed a First Information Report (FIR) in response to her complaint.

In the gang rape case, six people are charged; Nivin Pauly is identified as the sixth accused, and a woman is named as the main offender. The authorities have not yet shared any details about the incident.

In an interview with India Today TV, A.S. Dulat, the former chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), acknowledged that errors occurred during the decision-making process and stated that the hijacked IC 814 plane should not have been allowed to leave Amritsar.
